The Road to a Better You

Do not mistake congregations, sacraments, or rituals for the living wisdom of scripture or life itself. Most men have learned only the exoteric motif of the canon—its outer shell—and have remained stranded in that dissolution of spirit. This surface understanding bars them from the inward path of true spirituality.
Spiritual life begins with the esoteric—an understanding of nature and the sacred text, in that exact order. For if a man does not know the laws of his mind, of nature, and of the soul, he cannot perceive how his inner world takes form. He must study the architecture of his own consciousness: the superconscious, the conscious, and the subconscious—each a department of the mind, each revealing the structure of his condition.
Too often, men avoid these teachings because they do not affirm what the ego already believes about being “spiritual.” Yet the devil is not a horned figure afar, but an inner motif—a force of power and weakness alike that every man must bring into harmony. The road to hell, as they say, is paved with good intentions; it is the path of those who desire better for themselves but are misled by the behavioral patterns formed from the exoteric alone.
And so, modern humanity finds itself adrift—seeking the spirit it was born with, yet shadowed by the very beliefs meant to set it free.
